Campaign Manager - Settings

Allocating campaign settings to an Engine datasource

Campaign settings are used to set the Campaign Key, which is the unique identifier for recipients, for example Cust ID.

The Campaign History Contact Table and the Campaign History Response Table names are entered here for each Campaign Key, which links to the Master Campaign Table as defined at the Datasource General level. For example, set the campaign key at household level to send one catalogue per household.

Procedure

  1. Select the relevant datasource.
  2. Select the Campaign Settings tab.
  3. Enter the name of the key in the Enter new key field. This must be input as a fully qualified name, for example [Demo].[Customer].[Cust ID]
  4. Enter the name of the Campaign Contact History table in the Campaign History Contact History table field.

This is mandatory even if Campaign Manager's history is not being used.

  1. Enter the name of the Campaign Response History table in the Campaign History Response History table field.

This is mandatory even if Campaign Manager's history is not being used.

  1. Click the Add icon.
  2. Repeat steps 1-6 if more keys are required.

The process of creating a Campaign Key will create the full set of Campaign History database objects as follows:

  • Campaign History Database
  • Master Campaign Table
  • Contact History Table
  • Response History Table

This action also imports a set of Email Deliverability Dashboards that will be available from the Dashboards tab of the slide-out navigation pane.

Deleting a Campaign Key means it cannot be used for campaign activity. None of the associated Engine tables or the Dashboards will be deleted.
